Richard B. Davies

Managing Partner

Rick Davies has spent more than thirty years in the medical device industry. His extensive experience includes more than fifteen years with Kendall Healthcare Products Company (now Covidien, Ltd.) where his management responsibilities included: General Manager of the Operating Room Apparel Division, Vice President – Planning and Business Development, Vice President and General Manager of the Critical Care Division, and Area Vice President – Western Europe.

In addition to his experience with Kendall, Mr. Davies has held the senior general management and business development positions in medical device start-up companies and has served as a corporate officer in both private and publicly held companies. His broad experience includes the commercialization of new technologies, establishment of domestic and international distribution and the management of merger, acquisition and strategic partnering transactions.

Since 1998, Rick Davies has been the Managing Partner of the Salt Lake City based consulting firm, Vector Resources, L.C. – specializing in the successful commercialization of new medical devices and emerging device technologies.

Rick holds a BA from Baldwin-Wallace College, Berea, Ohio and completed all course work and examination requirements for Master of Arts in Health Education at Kent State University. He also completed Post BA Studies in organic chemistry at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Ohio

Rick and his wife Diane relocated to the Salt Lake area from Boston and live about 10 miles from Snowbird & Alta ski areas, at the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon – where they enjoy the mountains and the “Greatest Snow on Earth®”

Christopher A. Davies, Esq.

A co-founder of Vector Resources, L.C., Chris Davies has more than twenty years of business development, transaction management and product commercialization experience across a wide range of medical device markets and technologies. Prior to co-founding Vector in 1998, Chris practiced law in the Salt Lake City area.

Mr. Davies assists clients in the creation and implementation of business development strategies, including distribution arrangements, strategic partnering and investment transactions and technology licensing.

His experience as a practicing attorney brings a highly effective resource to the management of client discussions, negotiations and agreements with third parties, and the coordination of activities with the client’s own legal counsel, where appropriate.

Chris Davies is a member of the Utah State Bar. He holds a JD degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Lansing, Michigan and a BA from Saint Anselm College, Manchester, New Hampshire.

Chris and his wife Cheryl migrated to the Salt Lake City area from Michigan and have two teenage children. Rick & Chris are father & son.
